Janet C. Scott is an experienced Litigation counsel practicing with Townsend & Lockett, LLC. An Atlanta native, Ms. Scott focuses her practice on various areas of law including but not limited to, employment, education, and business disputes. Ms. Scott’s previous experience includes litigating misdemeanor criminal matters, personal injury, insurance defense, contract disputes, and education law where she represented numerous school districts throughout Georgia.

When representing clients, Ms. Scott is dedicated to seeking the best outcome for her clients. Ms. Scott has handled all phases of litigation from case inception through trial and at the appellate level.

Ms. Scott graduated cum laude from Spelman College, Atlanta, Georgia with a B.A. in History. She also attended Mercer University where she received her Master’s degree in Education, specializing in middle grades education. She obtained her law degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
