Travis is Co-Founder and Financial Partner at Townsend Lockett and the Group Leader of its business and transactional law practices. Mr. Townsend’s practice consists of advising businesses and supporting their growth through strategic legal counsel. Travis’ clientele is composed of, without limitation, publicly traded companies, privately-held corporations, government authorities, municipalities and joint ventures. During his many years of providing business legal services Travis has mastered the art of contract negotiation and drafting and deal team subject matter expert composition, and has an intimate understanding of the relationship between business objectives and legal risk management. As a result, he emphasizes driving transaction solutions that are in the best interests of his client’s financial goals.
Travis focuses his work on mergers & acquisitions, corporate board and c-suite strategic legal counsel, and corporate finance. Travis’ expertise spans telecommunications, securities regulation, municipal bonds, asset acquisition, master services agreement negotiation, distribution arrangements, prime and contractor relationship management, divestitures, franchise, loan and lending agreements, and more.
